Dear parents and children of NCT,                                                                                                      Week of January 3, 2012

Welcome back! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving season with many happy sponsors for our Christmas shows.

Thank you parents and children for your wonderful and commendable dedication.

Now we begin the second phase of NCT which is the Broadway production.  Our choreographer is Miss Elizabeth Rouse.  She is a graduate of Boston Latin School and a dance performance graduate from Bryn Mar College.

Elizabeth has worked with us on the outstanding past productions of  Les Miserables and Annie.

This week we will read and sing excerpts of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and The Wizard of Oz.

Deposits for the concert-tour have been submitted to Student Tours.  If you have not submitted the second deposit of $150 per person to NCT, please do so ASAP.

Some parents have asked if our buses could depart later on Friday, May 25 for the Philadelphia concert-tour or very early on Saturday, May 26 so that students would not miss any school.  I am looking into this possibility.  Please forward your comments to me at the NCT e-mail listed below.

Please remember that your children are all invited to be part of the St. Ann Youth Choir and the Blessed Mother Teresa Choirs.  (Choir children have extra voice coaching which helps with leads in the NCT musicals.) Come and sing for the Lord!

Thank you for all the wonderful gifts you gave me at Christmas! I truly appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness!  We enjoyed many delightful treats at the McCourt house;  candy, cookies, Dunkin’ Donut gift cards and lots of beautiful Christmas cards and wishes.

Thank you, again, so much!

May you be blessed with many delightful surprises in 2012!

Neighborhood Children’s Theatre Concert Tour 2012

The NCT concert-tour will be to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during April vacation.  I am proposing a concert at the famous Betsy Ross House where NCT performed ten years ago in a Memorial Day Celebration just after 9/11.  I am hoping to present a concert which will include bell ringing in the home city of the Liberty Bell. I also hope to have a day at Hershey Park.  The trip will be a bus trip of 4 days and 3 nights.  The tour price will include breakfast and dinner. The NCT members will be subsidized for their tour.  In the past, we have offered the tours at half of the price for the members.  What NCT can contribute is based on the $ amount made at the last Musical production, (Bye, Bye Birdie).  I believe that we may be able to offer $200 per member.

FYI- Our travel agency will be Student Tours in Massachusetts. Studenttours@vineyard.net We have used this wonderful agency in the past for Williamsburg and New York trips, as well. We are trying to get a number of interested participants.  Please sign below and return to Mrs. Michelle McCourt at Saint Ann Church at the 10:30 A.M. mass.
