Alice C. McDonald Catholic Middle School & High School Scholarships
Dear Parishioners:
On behalf of the Saint Ann Parish Community, Alice McDonald’s family and sons Paul and John, I am proud to announce the creation of the Alice C. McDonald Catholic Middle School & High School Scholarships.
As many of you know, Alice C. McDonald was a devoted fifty-year member of St. Ann’s Parish. She drew enormous strength and inspiration from her Neponset faith community. Her many friendships and involvements in the neighborhood were begun in and remained centered on St. Ann’s Parish life.
Upon the enrollment of her son John, at St. Ann’s School, she became a volunteer lunch monitor and remained there long after his graduation. For many years, she helped run the weekly parish bingo which benefited the school. Later, she became a steady weekly player. She never missed participating in the Lucky Thousand drawing or other special events for the school. Her firm belief in the importance of Catholic Education inspired both of her sons to attend college and earn advanced graduate degrees. She was a dedicated member of the St. Ann’s Conference of the St. Vincent De Paul Society for over 25 years, including several years as Conference President, assisting those in need.
Over the years, she rarely missed a parish religious celebration, social event, or trip. She loved all things St. Ann’s, especially the children, faculty, and staff of Saint Ann School.
Please join me in encouraging your children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors to apply for these very important scholarships encouraging children to commit to their Catholic Education. Please feel free to call me or our committee should you have any questions.
God Bless,
Father Sean Connor
