CHURCH RENOVATIONS, REPAIRS AND UPDATES

TABERNACLES CLEANED AND REPAIRED
We are pleased to announce that through two anonymous donations we were able to have both of the Saint Ann Parish tabernacles, upper and lower church, cleaned and restored this week.

The first donor asked that the donation be made in honor of Father Robert Flagg.  During this year of Priesthood, Fr. Flagg is a good reminder of a kind priest who served this parish well.  Our second donation is in memory and in honor our many Grandparents & Parents who helped build this parish and the many who have taught and passed along the faith.

Each year, on July 26th, the Church celebrates the Memorial of Saints Ann and Joachim, parents of Mary and Grandparents of our Lord Jesus.  Last Sunday our memorial was celebrated in succession to the Sunday Liturgical.  It is good for us to thank our families for the gift of faith.  We are taught and supported here by our patron Saint Ann the gift of salvation. The antiphons and prayers for the Mass in honor of Saints Ann & Joachim give us witness. "Praised be Joachim and Ann for the child they bore." Mary was made for the Lord and Saints Ann & Joachim lovingly taught her and gave unique witness to the promises of God's chosen people.  They remain great instruments of the faith and Grandparents of the Gospel of Life.  As Mary's parents they continue to teach us to be nourished by our Lord.  As we read in the prayer at Mass, "As you nourish us with the bread of life, given only to your sons and daughters, fill us with the spirit who makes us your children."

Our beautifully restored tabernacles, where we believe that the Lord is always present in the Eucharist, make us focus on the Lord’s beauty and love.   As Saint and Grandmother of the Lord, may Saint Ann teach us and intercede for us to her Grandson and our Lord.  We are pleased to announce that through two anonymous donations we were able to have both  of the Saint Ann Parish tabernacles, upper and lower church, cleaned and restored this week.
